Penzance

There is a legend about a giant who terrorized the people...I think it goes that a little boy dug a well....and then taunted the giant to run after him... and then the giant fell into the well and his heart turned to stone...hmm. I might have to look that one up and see if I got it right. Haha.

View as we were walking up the steps to the castle

A building on the island..it was painted for a movie..can't remember which one now

Walkway out to the castle...you can only walk across it twice a day when the tide goes out

St. Michael's Mount

Oxford

We were actually really bored in Oxford so I don't have much to say about it...maybe I will remember something later and write about it :)

This guy was talented! Haha

Stratford-upon-Avon - Shakespeare's birthplace

The hostel we stayed at...in the middle of nowhere. We walked 2-3...or maybe even 4 miles to get there the guys are saying. Haha. WITH our 30 pound backpacks on too! We were not too pleased about that. We took the bus back when we left :)
His grave. The one next to him is his wife...and on the other side is the rest of his family. (I am typing on a Canadian style keyboard right now..and I have gotten used to the Z and Y keys being switched...so I keep messing up! Ack!)
The church nearby where Shakespeare and his family were buried. He wasn't buried here because he was famous...it was just because he owned land and had the rights to be buried here.
This is just stating that he died here

Part of the garden on the grounds where he died

This picture was taken at the site where Shakespeare died. The home was taken down after he died but now there is a really pretty garden in its place

More of York

I cant even remember exactly where in York I took this picture...but I think its where dreams are made. Its so pretty! Haha!

Up on the wall looking down at the grass and the flowers that grow wildly everywhere.
Inside the Abbey
And again...the massive cathedral
Some more pictures of York....this was a huge cathedral we went into and looked around. It was close to the major downtown shopping area with all the cute little shops :)

Cody coming out of the bathroom. I died laughing over this. Above the door it says "Hygene Monitor 0" Haha. I guess he forgot to wash his hands....

In a dungeon where they held prisoners...dont ask where this was. I dont know. Haha.

haha! a greyhound!! Sheldon says curses on greyhound. haha.
Self explanitory I guess. This is where J.K Rowling started writing the first Harry Potter book on napkins =)

This was where they used to take all the people who were accused of a crime. I didnt get a full picture of it...but there is a wooden door on the one side where they would nail your ear to...and you had to stay there for a certain period of time (I think it was a day...or 12 hrs)...and the people of the city would come and throw tomatos at you. If you endured it...you were able to continue buying at the market...because you were considered honorable for enduring your punishment...you could choose to leave early (meaning you had to rip your ear off) which would then lable you a coward and you wouldnt be able to buy from anyone at the market!A heart in the center of Edinburgh where you spit for good luck. Apparently there are alot of people here every year that get proposed to! haha!!Bagpipes in Edinburgh. You know your in Scotland when.....At a museum in Glasgow

An awesome picture of Cody. He saw the umbrella lying there next to the flowers and snapped it open and I took a picture. Turned out pretty cool!
